This step clears away old layers of cream or polish and softens up the leather underneath.
Step 3: Feed the leather
This brings back suppleness and colour depth, and helps prevent cracking down the line.
Step 4: Polish for shine and protection
Step 5: Weatherproof
This shields against rain, stains and damp.
Recommended frequency
Suede looks fantastic but is far more prone to water marks, stains and rubbing. It needs a more careful routine.
Step 1: Brush gently
This lifts the pile back up and clears away dust and dirt.
Step 2: Lift stains with a suede eraser
Works well on grease marks, light watermarks and rub marks.
Step 3: Deep clean when needed
Step 4: Weatherproofing is a must
This guards against water, rain, salt and staining. Reapply every 10–15 days with regular wear.
Recommended frequency
Patent leather looks striking but shows up scuffs, marks and cracking easily, so it needs its own approach.
